Our classes are offered as a single workshop (8 hours), two-day classes (Fri-Sat, 16 hours), full weekend (Fri-Sun, 20 hours), or you can enroll in our full institute.

Dr. Needle and Dr. Siegel will be joined by locally and nationally renowned experts who will bring the most current information on human sexuality research and treatment of sexual dysfunction to this series of programs.

Eli Mayer, Psy.D.

Eli Mayer, Psy.D.

Eliezer Robert Mayer, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with a long standing interest in Human Sexuality, especially as it relates to non-normative populations. He is known to have a warm engaging style, and frequently employ good-natured humor as part of my work.

Dr. Mayer completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1987 at Yeshiva University, writing his thesis on Gay Male Sexual Partnership Styles. During training, he studied Sex Therapy at SUNY Downstate with Dr. Marian Dunn and Dr. Steve Friedman. Opening an independent practice in NYC's Greenwich Village in 1987, at the height of the AIDS Epidemic, he quickly established expertise working with sexuality among highly stigmatized populations who were confronting death, alienation and grieving. As one of the first gay male psychologists to practice openly in New York City, he believe developed a very keen appreciation of the destructive forces of feeling marginalized, and found he worked well with people of many different cultures and backgrounds.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Mayer has taught undergraduates for many years at Baruch College, CUNY (his alma mater). His teaching experience also includes supervising the clinical work of doctoral candidates at Yeshiva, Pace and Rutgers Universities.


Lawrence Siegel, MA

Lawrence Siegel, MA

Lawrence Siegel, MA is a Clinical Sexologist and sexuality education consultant. He is the founder and serves on the Board of Directors of Sage Institute for Family Development, a non-profit training and counseling center in Florida. Larry sits on the faculties of several colleges, universities and training institutions, and is nationally recognized as a leader in the fields of sexuality, sexual development, sexual pharmacology, and medical sexology.


Kathryn Hall, Ph.D.

Kathryn Hall, Ph.D.

Kathryn Hall, Ph.D. received her Ph.D from McGill University in Montreal Canada. She has an active private practice in Princeton NJ specializing in the treatment of sexual and relationship problems. She is the Co-Director of the HallWatter Institute which provides continuing education for mental health professionals. Dr. Hall is the Co-Editor of two sex therapy texts; Principles and Practice of Sex Therapy, 5th Edition and The Cultural Context of Sexual Pleasure and Problems: Psychotherapy with Diverse Populations.

In addition to numerous scholarly articles, Dr. Hall authored the popular book Reclaiming Your Sexual Self: How You Can Bring Desire Back Into Your Life. Dr. Hall is the Book Review Editor for the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy. She sits on the Special Classification Review Board appointed by the Governor to oversee the treatment of convicted sex offenders in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Hall is the President-Elect of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research.


Blaise Amendolace, Psy.D

Blaise Amendolace, Psy.D

Blaise Amendolace, Psy.D. received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida State University where he graduated with Honors in the Major. He earned his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.

Dr. Blaise Amendolace is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of adults of all ages with conditions such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse survivors, grief, and many other relational problems. He is in the process of achieving certification in Therapeutic Assessment, which is the practice of integrating psychological testing with therapy practice on a deeper, more meaningful level. Blaise ensures that every person he works with is treated as an individual, and views therapy as a journey for both the individual and himself. He is a practitioner of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (a form of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), Interpersonal Therapy, and Existential/Humanistic Therapy.


Sari Eckler Cooper, LCSW

Sari Eckler Cooper, LCSW

Sari Eckler Cooper, LCSW, is an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, Supervisor and a licensed therapist who has been in private practice for more than 20 years in New York City. She did her post-graduate work at The Ackerman Institute and the Human Sexuality Program at RWJ Medical Center. She writes about sexuality on her website blog Sex Esteem® at www.saricooper.com, as well as on Psychology Today and is a regular contributor to CBS This Morning on the topic of relationships. She produces and hosts the Youtube channel and show Sex Esteem®. Sari also writes about divorce, sexuality and parenting on Huffington Post.

She frequently presents talks, seminars and workshops for professionals at conferences on many topics including: Sexual Avoidance, Compulsivity, Affairs, Discrepant Desire, ADHD and Sexuality in long-term relationships. She also presents to the general public on how to explore new sexual avenues in long-term relationships and how to talk to children about sex, as well as how a healthy sex life improves ones work life. She was a featured speaker in “Project Respect”, an educational program of the Sex Crimes Unit at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office on the topic of compulsivity.

Dr. Anne Katz, RN, Ph.D.

Dr. Anne Katz, RN, Ph.D.

Dr. Anne Katz, RN, Ph.D. is the certified sexuality counselor at CancerCare Manitoba and Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Manitoba Prostate Centre. In these roles she counsels men and women with a history of cancer who are experiencing sexual and relationship challenges. She also supports couples through recurrence and treatment decisions at that point. She runs a sexual rehabilitation program for women after radiation therapy.

She has been an invited speaker at multiple international conferences and meetings in North American, Europe and beyond where she has educated health care providers and cancer survivors about cancer, sexuality, and survivorship, and has written among the best books available on cancer for men, women and young adults.
